(Online / Hybrid / Weekend On-site | Grades 4–12)

Position Overview:
This position is designed for Texas public school teachers who are interested in providing flexible academic support and tutoring outside of regular school hours. Based on individual availability, teachers may offer online, hybrid, or weekend on-site instruction to students in Grades 4–12.
The primary goal of this role is to help students maintain or improve their GPA (Grade Point Average) by providing structured homework support, targeted concept reinforcement, and effective study and learning strategies in core academic subjects.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual or small-group academic tutoring for students in Grades 4–12

Deliver targeted support in GPA-related core subjects, including one or more of the following (based on certification and expertise):

Mathematics (Upper Elementary / Middle School / High School)

ELA (reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and academic expression)
-
Science or Social Studies
-

Support students with homework completion, projects, and test or quiz review
-
Reinforce key classroom concepts and academic expectations
-
Help students understand grading criteria and rubrics to improve assignment quality and assessment performance
-
Teach effective study skills, organization, and time-management strategies
-
Create a focused and productive learning environment through online platforms or on-site instruction

Maintain brief records of student progress and communicate with the program coordinator as needed
Flexible Delivery Options:
-
Online: One-on-one or small-group tutoring via Zoom or Google Meet
-
Hybrid: Primarily online instruction with occasional on-site sessions
-
Weekend On-site: In-person tutoring sessions scheduled on weekends based on teacher availability
Qualifications:
-
Current or previous teaching experience in a Texas public school (Grades 4–12)
-
Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
-
Familiarity with TEKS, public school curriculum, and grading systems
-
Ability to provide targeted academic support based on student performance data
-
Strong online instructional and classroom management skills
-
Professional, reliable, and able to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience with online tutoring, academic intervention, or GPA support programs
-
Prior experience teaching core academic subjects or participating in credit recovery or intervention programs
-
Familiarity with secondary grading policies and GPA calculation
-
Ability to support multiple grade levels or subject areas

This is a flexible part-time position, with scheduling fully based on teacher availability

The role does not interfere with teachers’ primary school employment and does not create a conflict of interest

The position does not involve formal grading or school-based evaluation decisions
